Instructions
- Chop the lettuce and place it in the bottom of a serving bowl.
- In a saucepan, combine pineapple, sugar, water, and jello; bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
- Stir in the cold water and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Pour the cooled jello mixture over the chopped lettuce in the bowl.
- Sprinkle pecans over the top.
- Spread Cool Whip evenly over the salad.
