Ingredients

  • 1 small can pineapple
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 small package jello
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 8 oz Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Chop the lettuce and place it in the bottom of a serving bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine pineapple, sugar, water, and jello; bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the cold water and let the mixture cool slightly.
  4. Pour the cooled jello mixture over the chopped lettuce in the bowl.
  5. Sprinkle pecans over the top.
  6. Spread Cool Whip evenly over the salad.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
