Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 package strawberry jello (4 servings)
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Stir boiling water into gelatin in a large bowl for 2 minutes, until completely dissolved.
  2. Mix cold water and ice to make 1 1/4 cups.
  3. Add the cold water and ice mixture to the gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened.
  4. Remove any remaining ice.
  5. Stir in whipped topping with a whisk until smooth.
  6. Refrigerate for 10 minutes until the mixture will mound.
  7. Spoon the mixture into a crust.
  8. Refrigerate for 4 hours, or until firm.
  9. Store leftover pie in the refrigerator.
