Crisp, tangy homemade dill pickles with garlic and whole spices, perfect for snacking or adding a burst of flavor to meals, suited for pickle lovers and home canners.

Ingredients

  • 1 grape leaf
  • cucumbers with short stems and no blemishes
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp salt
  • 1/2 cup pure cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 Tbsp mixed whole spices

Instructions

  1. Place a grape leaf at the bottom of a quart jar.
  2. Select cucumbers with short stems and no blemishes.
  3. Sprinkle 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt over the cucumbers.
  4. Add 4 cloves of garlic and 1 tablespoon of mixed whole spices into the jar.
  5. Pour 1/2 cup of pure cider vinegar over the ingredients.
  6. Fill the jar with cucumbers, pressing down gently.
  7. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least a few days before enjoying.
