Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 1/2-2 pounds chicken pieces
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1-2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Flour the chicken pieces and brown them in oil.
  2. Put rice and minced onion in a greased casserole dish.
  3. Add the canned mushrooms with their juice to the casserole.
  4. Arrange the browned chicken on top of the rice mixture.
  5. Mix water with chicken bouillon cubes and pour over the casserole.
  6. Dot the dish with butter.
  7. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
  8. Remove the cover for the last 5 minutes of baking.
