Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Mix together the self-rising flour, buttermilk, and oil.
  2. Turn out the dough onto a floured board.
  3. Pat or roll the dough to 3/4-inch thickness.
  4. Cut out biscuits from the dough.
  5. Turn each biscuit over in oil.
  6. Bake in a black iron skillet at 450°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until done.
