Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  2. Mix egg yolks, sugar, salt, and flour together until smooth.
  3. Heat milk until scalded; fold in egg whites and vanilla.
  4. Pour mixture into pie crusts and bake at 375°F for 10 minutes.
  5. Reduce temperature to 325°F and continue baking until nicely browned and set.
