Kahlua Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 12 cup shortening
  • 12 cup butter, softened
  • 34 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 34 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 tablespoons coffee liqueur, Kahlua
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix ingredients one at a time in order listed, making sure each is well incorporated before adding the next ingredient.
  3. Place dough 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
  4. I prefer to use parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 13 to 16 minutes, or unil cookies begin to lightly brown on edges.
  6. Cool cookies on a wire rack.
  7. Store in an air-tight container.
