Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes yeast
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 6 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for a few minutes.
  2. Add sugar or honey, salt, oil, and flour in two parts (for whole wheat bread, add 2 cups whole wheat flour and 4 cups white flour).
  3. Knead the dough, then place it in an oiled bowl.
  4. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  5. Shape the dough into rolls or a loaf of bread.
  6. Let the shaped dough rise for another hour.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes for rolls or 30 minutes for bread.
