Ingredients

  • 4 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 slightly beaten egg
  • 3/4 c. melted shortening
  • 2 c. lukewarm water with 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine the self-rising flour, beaten egg, melted shortening, lukewarm water with yeast, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Mix with a spoon until well combined.
  3. Let the dough rise for about 30 minutes.
  4. Grease a muffin pan.
  5. Place heaping spoonfuls of the dough into each cup of the muffin pan.
  6. Bake at 400°F until the rolls are golden brown.
