Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Put fruit in bottom of greased 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt to make the crust mixture.
  3. Dot fruit with butter.
  4. Spread crust mixture over fruit.
  5. Pour 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup cold water over the mixture.
  6. Bake in a 400° oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
