Creamy, cheesy scalloped potatoes layered with onions, Canadian bacon, and Velveeta, baked to golden perfection—comfort food ideal for family dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 5 lb potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 lb Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 gal milk
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 medium onions
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 lb Canadian bacon, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  2. Layer peeled, sliced potatoes and onions in the prepared pan.
  3. Add slices of Velveeta cheese and pats of butter between layers.
  4. Lay slices of Canadian bacon over the layered ingredients.
  5. Repeat layering until the pan is three-quarters full.
  6. Sprinkle flour over the layered ingredients.
  7. Pour milk evenly over the layers.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  10. Let stand for 5 to 7 minutes before serving.
