Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup finely chopped nuts
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Fold in the finely chopped nuts.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cocoa over the top of the batter.
  7. Bake for approximately 35 minutes, until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Serve warm, spooning the pudding sauce from the bottom of the cake.
