Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lard
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 oz. yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Cut lard into half the flour until crumbly.
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a little sugar and set aside to activate.
  3. Beat eggs and add to the yeast mixture.
  4. Gradually add the liquids to the dry mixture, alternating with the remaining flour, kneading into a sticky dough.
  5. Refrigerate the dough overnight before using.
