Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef boneless top loin or sirloin steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 green onions, chopped finely
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cut beef diagonally across the grain into 1/8-inch slices.
  2. Mix soy sauce, sugar, sesame or vegetable oil, pepper, chopped green onions, and chopped garlic to make the marinade.
  3. Stir the beef into the marinade until well coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Drain the beef and stir-fry in a 10-inch skillet or wok over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice if desired.
