Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 6 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. oil
  • 2 c. water

Instructions

  1. Put sugar, flour, cocoa, soda and salt into about a 15-inch oblong pan (the one you are going to bake it in).
  2. Do not grease the pan.
  3. Mix vinegar, vanilla and oil and then add.
  4. Then pour water over all and mix together until all of the lumps are out. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or longer (until done).
  5. While still partly warm, put on this filling.
