Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 8 ounces cooked and drained wide noodles
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 apple peeled and grated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 teaspoons butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Put eggs, sugar, salt, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl and mix well.
  3. Add cooked and drained wide noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream, grated apple, and vanilla to the bowl.
  4. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
  5. Generously grease sides and bottom of a 2-quart casserole dish with butter or margarine.
  6. Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared casserole and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for one hour or until the top is nicely browned.
  8. Remove from oven and cool for about 20 minutes before serving.
  9. Cut into squares and serve as a side dish with meat or chicken.
