Ingredients

  • raw sliced potatoes
  • chopped onion
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • flour
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • cracker crumbs

Instructions

  1. Layer raw sliced potatoes, chopped onion, salt, pepper, ground beef, and canned tomatoes in a large greased casserole dish, alternating ingredients to form layers.
  2. Top the layered mixture with cracker crumbs.
  3. Pour milk over the top of the casserole.
  4. Dot the surface with small pieces of butter.
  5. Cover the casserole and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 2 hours.
  6. Remove the cover after 1 hour of baking to allow the top to brown slightly.
