Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter, Softened
  • 3 cups Peanut Butter
  • 1-1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2-3/4 cups Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Dark Corn Syrup
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 4 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 9 cups Quick Cooking Oats
  • 1-1/2 cup Semisweet Or Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1-1/2 cup Milk Chocolate M&Ms

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Use a large bowl (I used a 6-quart Kitchen Aide mixer bowl, which barely fits it. If you use this size bowl or smaller, you'll have to watch carefully to make sure the dough doesn't spill over). Add butter, peanut butter, both sugars and corn syrup into the bowl and cream them together. Add eggs and vanilla and mix. Add baking soda and the oats a cup or two at a time and continue to mix and add the oats until they are all in there. Then add the chocolate chips and half of the M&Ms and combine.
  3. Make dough balls that are about 2 tablespoons in size. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and flatten each with the bottom of a cup. Press several M&Ms into the top of each cookie and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Cool the cookies on the cookie sheet for about five minutes then remove cookies to finish cooling on a cooling rack.
  5. This makes 6-8 dozen cookies depending on how large you actually make the cookies.
