Ingredients

  • 4 c. lettuce
  • 1 c. shredded carrots
  • 3/4 c. sliced celery
  • 1 small pkg. frozen garden peas, uncooked
  • 1/2 c. sliced green onions, including tops
  • mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled

Instructions

  1. Layer the lettuce, shredded carrots, sliced celery, frozen peas, and sliced green onions in a square or rectangular dish.
  2. Spread a good layer of mayonnaise or salad dressing over the layered vegetables.
  3. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon over the top.
  4. Cover the dish with Saran Wrap or a tight lid and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  5. To serve, do not mix the layers; cut into squares for individual servings.
