Instructions
- Peel and slice potatoes, onions, and carrots. Leave soaking in water until ready to use.
- Tenderize the round steak and cut into 4 pieces.
- Sear each piece of steak on both sides in a very hot skillet to seal in juices.
- Place the seared steak on a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
- Season with salt and pepper if desired.
- Arrange the sliced potatoes, onions, and carrots on top of the steak. Season with salt and pepper; dot with butter.
- Close the foil securely and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 1.5 hours.
