Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. stew beef
  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • flour
  • 4 large onions
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 2 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 2 c. beer
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard

Instructions

  1. Roll beef cubes in flour.
  2. Saute in vegetable oil until browned.
  3. Place browned beef in a casserole dish.
  4. Fry onions until golden and add to the casserole.
  5. Add parsley flakes, basil, oregano, beer, salt, and pepper to the casserole.
  6. Spread prepared mustard on both sides of bread slices.
  7. Place bread on top of the ingredients in the casserole.
  8. Cover and bake at 275°F (135°C) for about 3 hours.
