Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 (12 oz.) can Italian tomatoes
  • 1/4 c. Vlasic hot chili peppers, sliced
  • 1 (20 oz.) can hot chili beans
  • 1 large can tomato juice
  • chili powder to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1 large onion, diced

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger with diced onion and drain off the grease.
  2. Add Italian tomatoes, sliced hot chili peppers, tomato juice, and seasonings (chili powder, pepper, cayenne) to the browned meat.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer for about 45 minutes.
  4. Serve hot with crackers and ice water.
