Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. water
  • 1 c. quick oats
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Boil water.
  2. Add oats; stir and set aside to cool.
  3. Mix oleo, eggs, brown sugar, sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Add flour, soda, and salt to the mixture.
  5. Add cooled oatmeal and mix well.
  6. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Frost or dust with powdered sugar as desired or serve with whipped cream.
  8. May be served hot or cold.
