Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. caraway seed
  • 1 medium head cabbage (about 1 1/2 lb.), coarsely chopped
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a wok or skillet to 325°F and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Add butter or margarine, vegetable oil, and caraway seed; stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Cover the pan.
  4. Reduce heat and steam for 2 to 3 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.
  5. Add grated lemon rind and lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  6. Mix well and continue heating until the cabbage reaches desired tenderness.
  7. Serve while hot.
