Lemon Dinner Rolls are soft, fluffy, and subtly tangy with a citrus twist, perfect for family dinners, brunches, or special occasions that call for warm, homemade bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 box lemon cake mix
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix lemon cake mix, yeast, and salt together in a large bowl.
  2. Add 2 1/2 cups of very warm water to the mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Let the dough rise for 1 hour or more in a warm place.
  5. Flour a clean countertop well for rolling out the dough.
  6. Take out a large handful of dough and pat out to 1/2-inch thickness.
  7. Repeat the process 4 or 5 times, each time cutting out rounds with a biscuit cutter and placing them on greased cookie sheets, almost touching.
  8. Allow the cut-out rolls to rise for another hour or more.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
