Ingredients

  • 1 small package orange Jello
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 lemon cake mix
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the orange Jello in cold water.
  2. Add eggs and beat for 2 minutes.
  3. Add lemon cake mix and beat for 1 minute.
  4. Add oil and beat for 1 minute.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35-40 minutes.
  7. While the cake is still hot, mix confectioners sugar and orange juice to make a glaze.
  8. Use a fork to make holes in the cake, then pour the sugar mixture into the holes.
  9. Let the cake cool, then top with Cool Whip and garnish with cherries.
