Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 (3 oz.) block cream cheese
  • 1 (18 oz.) can lemon pie filling

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, softened butter or margarine, and chopped pecans or walnuts to form the crust mixture.
  2. Press the mixture evenly onto the bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch glass baking pan.
  3. Bake the crust at 350°F for 30 minutes, then remove and let cool.
  4. In a bowl, blend powdered sugar with the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  6. Layer the lemon pie filling on top of the cream cheese layer.
  7. Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
  8. Refrigerate overnight before serving.
