Lemony Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut an x in the core of each Brussels sprout. Place in a saucepan; add 1 inch of water.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain.
  4. In a large skillet, saute the sprouts, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper in butter for 2 to 3 minutes or until flavors are blended.
