Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup reduced calorie margarine
  • 1 8-ounce carton plain low fat yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. Cut in the margarine with a pastry blender or fork until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Add the yogurt and honey or sugar; stir until the dry ingredients are moistened.
  4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead 4 to 5 times.
  5. Roll the dough to a 1/2 inch thickness and cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
  6. Place the biscuits on an ungreased pan.
  7. Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 minutes or until browned as desired.
