Ingredients

  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/3 cup Hershey chocolate (cocoa)
  • 2 eggs or egg substitute
  • 1 cup Turbinado brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup powdered milk or skim milk
  • 1/4 cup vinegar or 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla

Instructions

  1. Put wet ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add dry ingredients and milk. Beat until combined.
  3. Pour batter into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan sprayed with Pam.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
