Ingredients

  • 2 cabbages
  • 8 carrots
  • 6 onions
  • 4 sweet green peppers
  • 4 sweet red peppers
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1 quart vinegar
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon celery seed

Instructions

  1. Chop all vegetables; add salt and let stand for 2 hours.
  2. Add vinegar, sugar, celery seed, and mustard seed to the vegetables.
  3. Do not heat the mixture.
  4. Put the mixture into jars and keep in the refrigerator.
  5. Take out as needed for use.
