Ingredients

  • 3 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes or 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • butter

Instructions

  1. Place a layer of meat, sliced onions, sliced potatoes, and tomatoes or tomato soup in a baking dish.
  2. Season the layers with salt and pepper, and dot with butter.
  3. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used.
  4. Pour water over the assembled layers.
  5. Cover the dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours or until the potatoes are tender.
