Lois'S Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 1 whole bunch garlic cloves, peeled and minced
  • 2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. white wine
  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut partly frozen, paper-thin strips
  • 1 3/4 c. bouillon (4 cubes plus water), reserve 1/3 c.
  • 3 Tbsp. catsup
  • 3 Tbsp. flour

Instructions

  1. Saute garlic and mushrooms in margarine and wine.
  2. Remove mushrooms and garlic; brown meat.
  3. Add bouillon and water to meat and simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Stir in catsup; mix 1/3 cup bouillon mix and flour until smooth; stir into meat. Boil 1 minute to thicken; add mushrooms and garlic.
  5. Stir in 1 cup sour cream; serve over noodles.
