Ingredients

  • 3 lb. chuck roast
  • 1/3 c. ketchup
  • 1/2 c. Open Pit barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • small onion
  • 1/8 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • crushed red pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook chuck roast in slow cooker until tender and shred with a fork.
  2. Add ketchup, barbecue sauce, sugar, chopped small onion, chili powder, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper to the shredded beef.
  3. Continue cooking and simmer the mixture for 1 to 2 hours to allow flavors to meld and sauce to thicken.
