- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine sour cream, vanilla extract, melted and cooled butter, sugar, and eggs (including egg whites from 2 large eggs).
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
