Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Cream the margarine until smooth.
  2. Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Alternately add the dry ingredients and sour cream to the creamed mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  6. Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Flatten each cookie with a wet hand.
  8. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon on top.
  9. Bake at 350° to 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes until golden.
