Ingredients

  • 1 small pkg. sauerkraut
  • 2 fresh sausage patties
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 small apple or 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 tsp. caraway seed

Instructions

  1. Brown crumbled sausage in a skillet; drain off excess fat.
  2. Add chopped or diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened.
  3. Add chopped or diced apple (or applesauce) and caraway seed to the skillet.
  4. Cover and heat on medium-low to low heat for about 1 hour or more, stirring occasionally if desired.
