- Brown ground beef and chopped onions in a skillet and drain excess fat.
- Place the cooked beef and onions mixture in the bottom of a 2 1/2 quart Pyrex dish.
- Pour drained whole kernel corn evenly over the beef layer.
- Spread the mashed potatoes on top of the corn layer.
- Dot the mashed potatoes with small pieces of butter.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes, uncovered, until heated through and slightly golden on top.
