- Boil and mash peeled potatoes.
- Add grated onion, butter, salt, pepper, and warm milk to the mashed potatoes.
- Whip until smooth.
- Place the mashed potatoes in a 9 x 13-inch pan sprayed with Pam.
- Fold the shredded Cheddar cheese into the whipped cream and spread over the potatoes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
- For make-ahead, refrigerate overnight and increase baking time by 10 to 15 minutes.
