Ingredients

  • bacon
  • tomato
  • bell pepper
  • cornbread
  • onion
  • mayonnaise
  • beans
  • pickle juice

Instructions

  1. Heat beans and pour over crumbled cooked cornbread in a casserole dish.
  2. Saute chopped onion and bell pepper in butter until tender.
  3. Mix chopped tomatoes, sautéed onion and bell pepper, mayonnaise, and pickle juice in a bowl.
  4. Pour the tomato mixture over the beans and cornbread layer.
  5. Bake in a 300°F (150°C) oven for about 15 minutes.
  6. Crumble cooked bacon on top before serving.
