- Fry bacon until crispy; reserve the bacon fat.
- Mix lean hamburger, chopped onions, eggs, bread crumbs, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Form the mixture into meatballs.

- Saute sliced mushrooms in butter until tender.
- Mix cream of mushroom soup and red wine in a bowl.
