Ingredients

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 cup dates, cut and chopped
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 egg

  3. Pour into a prepared loaf pan.
