Ingredients

  • 1 box manicotti
  • 1 pkg shredded Mozzarella
  • 1 egg
  • garlic to taste
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 8 oz Ricotta cheese
  • sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil manicotti a few minutes to soften slightly.
  2. Mix ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, egg, garlic, nutmeg, and sugar (if using).
  3. Stuff the mixture into the drained manicotti shells.
  4. Place the stuffed manicotti into a greased casserole dish.
  5. Pour tomato sauce over the top and add more cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake until the cheese melts, about 30 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with basil before serving.
