Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the well-beaten egg, milk, and maple flavoring to the dry ingredients.
  3. Stir in the nuts.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased bread pan and let stand for 20 minutes.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
