Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 - 4 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 packages active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, brown sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat water, milk, and 5 tablespoons of butter until very warm.
  3. Combine the warm liquids with the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir in eggs and enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
