Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup canned milk
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Stir the sugars and milk constantly until a soft ball forms. Stir in the chopped dates and cook until it reaches the hard ball stage.
  2. Add the nuts, butter, and vanilla. Beat the mixture until it holds its shape.
  3. Pour out onto a damp cloth and work into a roll. Chill the roll and then slice.
