Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic, dried
  • 1/2 tsp. basil, dried
  • 1 tsp. oregano, dried
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Saute chopped onion and green pepper until transparent.
  3. Add the tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes to the saucepan.
  4. Stir in dried garlic, basil, oregano, pepper, and parsley.
  5. Simmer the sauce for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
