Ingredients

  • bouillon
  • soy sauce
  • lemon juice from concentrate
  • onion
  • water
  • thyme
  • bread rolls
  • beef brisket
  • garlic

Instructions

  1. In a large shallow baking dish, combine bouillon, soy sauce, lemon juice from concentrate, onion, water, thyme, and garlic.
  2. Add the beef brisket to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
  3. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Cover the baking dish and roast the brisket for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, turning after 45 minutes, until tender.
  4. Remove the meat from the baking dish and reserve the cooking juices.
  5. Slice the brisket into thin slices and serve on bread rolls with the reserved juices for dipping.
  6. Refrigerate leftovers.
