Ingredients

  • 1 small cabbage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup rice
  • 2 cups canned tomatoes
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Remove tough outer leaves from the cabbage and cut into 8 wedges, removing part of the hard core.
  2. Place cabbage wedges in a greased casserole dish. Place chopped onions, ground beef, and rice between the wedges.
  3. Combine canned tomatoes, hot water, salt, and pepper, then pour the mixture over the casserole.
  4. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
