Ingredients

  • 2 large cans tomato sauce
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can water
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic
  • 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp oregano
  • 2 tsp fennel seed
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. In a Dutch oven, heat olive oil and brown ground beef, chopped onion, and pressed garlic.
  2. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water to the beef mixture.
  3. Stir in oregano, fennel seed, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix in Parmesan cheese.
  5. Cook over low heat for 2 hours or until sauce has thickened.
  6. Add red wine and cook for another hour.
  7. Serve with any pasta dish.
